Privacy notice

Draft for your lawyer to review before real use. Replace the bracketed parts with your school's details.

Who is responsible

Your child's school decides how your family's information is used. OmniKalvi is the software the school uses, and it handles the information only on the school's behalf.

What the school keeps

Your child's name and class; attendance; homework and class work; exam marks; fee dues and payments (an online payment is taken by the school's payment provider, which receives your payment details; OmniKalvi never sees your card or bank details); your name, phone number and email; notices and messages; photos and videos your child's teacher shares with the class, only of children whose parents said yes; a photo for your child's school ID card, only if you said yes (you can say no at any time, and the photo is then deleted); and, if you sent an admission enquiry, the details you gave.

Why

To run the school: to tell you about your child's day, record attendance and marks, collect fees, arrange meetings and answer your enquiry. Never to sell your information or to advertise.

Who can see it

Only people at the school who need it for their work. Teachers see their own classes, the accountant sees fees, the principal sees the whole school. Parents see only their own child. Other families never see your child's information. Messages between you and a teacher can also be read by the principal.

Where it is kept

In India (Mumbai). Sign-in codes are sent to you by email through an email service. Class photos are kept in private storage in India (Mumbai). Class videos and live class video go through a video service that is not in India; only the class's parents can watch them, with links that expire.

How long

While your child studies at the school, and afterwards only for as long as the school needs it by law. The school can delete a child's information when you ask.

Your rights

You may ask the school to show you, correct or delete your information, and you may withdraw your consent at any time from your Profile. Contact: [school contact name, phone and email].

Because your child is under 18, the school needs your consent as a parent or guardian.
